Big Buck Bunny
Barthes' 5 Narrative Codes
Equilibrium:
The weather is sunny, the music is peaceful and the bunny is quietly sleeping until he slowly wakes up and walks around the scenery.
Disruption:
An apple falls on the butterfly that the bunny was watching and some creatures start creeping up on the bunny to try and catch the other butterfly in order to kill it. To get the bunny out the way they start throwing stuff at him and then kill the second butterfly.
Recognition of disruption:
The bunny recognises that the creatures have been the ones causing the trouble and gets up set whilst he watches them play with the dead butterfly. He then realises the danger he is in and starts running away to hid behind a tree before he gets more things thrown at him.
Attempt to repair disruption:
The bunny runs into the forest and starts making lots of weapons and traps so he can catch the creatures. With some struggle, he gets rid of 2 of the creatures and catches the last one
Reinstatement of equilibrium:
The bunny is once again in the walking in the field on a sunny day and finds another butterfly whilst having the last creature he caught made into a living kite for his entertainment.
